Fantastic read. The EQ Shinobi sheds a new light on the relationship between peoples' emotional tendencies and their expected behaviors in the workplace. There are so many variables to track when trying to successfully navigate your way through your company and career that it can become overwhelming. This book made me realize that, by recognizing the different types of personalities and what they respond to well (or not), I can totally affect the outcome of many situations - essentially mapping my path. The EQ Shinobi should be an indispensable part of anyone's toolkit.
If you're like most sales professionals, you've never heard about emotional intelligence. Once I became aware that many fortune 500 companies incorporate it into their management and leadership strategy, I had to dig in deeper. I have learned that EI impacts my performance on a daily basis. In the past I have had issues like most sales folks concerning assertiveness, panic, and a whole range of emotions when talking to a team of C level decision makers. This was good - my beef with a lot of these books is they always seem out of date but this was very relevant to today
